Current TV
If you haven't found it yet...It's called Current TV

http://current.tv/

I came across the Channel by accident... (Channel 107 on Comcast- you can look it up locally on their website) I stopped to watch because I saw something on Bio Diesel... and I was hooked...
What you have is basically "Pod TV" ..Short broadcast on every topic..serious to humorous...from the entertaining to Wow,who knew?

I'm hooked.. it's like browsing the web...finding the best stuff the web has to offer and never touching your mouse.

After going to their Website and seeing where all this comes from I found out:

The Broadcast Content is Viewer Contributed... "Taking Back TV" is the phrase they use.
and...(I quote)
the " viewer-created content, or VC2. Right now, VC2 makes up about a third of our channel -- and that share is growing.
It works like this:
Anyone who wants to contribute can upload a video. Then, everyone in the Current online community votes for what should be on TV. You can join in at either stage -- watch & vote or create & upload. (They've also got online training to help you get the skills you need to make TV!)
This is definitely not a traditional TV network. Watching Current, you'll see more, on more topics, from more points of view. "

It's completely privately funded...not corporately owned TV..and...get this...The Chairman of the company is Al Gore... the rest of the crew has some other pretty impressive names as well.
But..what's really impressive is the daily content.

Go Find it On Your Own TV...You'll be glad you did.

Big Brother? Hand me the remote.

Apparently Philips is trying to patent a new technology that would flag commercial time in both broadcast and recording devices. These flags would prevent viewers from changing the channel and yes, even put an end to the time honored tradition of fastforwarding thru recorded programs.

"Never Face the Facts: The Positive Aspects of Denial"

I read this excerpt today from "Never Face the Facts: The Positive Aspects of Denial"
and it really hit home. I realized that ( luckily) I have lived my entire life this way.. Everything that has ever come about for me has come about because of exactly this type of mind set.

Although along the way I have been told by more than a few people that I needed to really take a better look at the parameters that exist, and operate within them.. it's just not how I am built...
My S/O is a by the books kinda guy. If it all fits in the columns and comes out even at the bottom line, he's on it... I, on the other hand, haven't made many attempts at columns and adding it up. Needless to say this makes our relationship very interesting. Lucky for us, we both seem to pull each other in the right direction when needed.

I have always thought along the lines of "Ok, what do I want, and what do I do to get there" As opposed to" What do I have in place, and where can I go with that."

So, whichever category you fall into, I think you'll enjoy this:
